Ele, Miguel Marujo, não resistiu: ao terceiro assalto foi-se abaixo - "Goldie Hess knocked out Mike Marujo in the third round in that bout». O combate em causa terá acontecido a 13 de Abril, há muitos anos, e parece ser o único registo que ficou para a posteridade.

Afinal, de quem falo? De um Marujo, Miguel Marujo, também conhecido por «Mike» Marujo. Um outro eu: «[...] Miguel (Mike) Marujo, who fought during the 1920's. All that I have been able to confirm so far, is that he fought (and lost) to Goldie Hess, on April 13, 1927 in Ocean Park, California. I have checked numerous boxing print resources (Who's Who in Boxing, Boxing Register, Ring: Record Book and Boxing Encyclopedia, etc) and did not find any mention of this fighter.»

Segundo a mesma fonte, este outro Marujo, Miguel Marujo (aka Mike Marujo) terá 97 anos, mais coisa menos coisa, e viverá na Califórnia. Não há mais dados disponíveis sobre este homem (português?) que nos idos dos anos 20 terá tentado a sua sorte no ringue e soçobrou ao terceiro "round". Pena minha.
